JOB DESCRIPTION:
CS Vertical Flight Solutions (CSV) a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) is seeking an experienced Part-Time Aircraft Washer Lead to supervise
and actively participate in F-16C aircraft wash and lubrication operations at
Homestead Air Reserve Base.
The Aircraft Washer Lead directs a 3-person wash team, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Air Force Technical Orders, environmental requirements, and contract performance standards.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and supervise a 3-person wash team performing F-16C wash and lubrication operations
Participate in aircraft wash, cleaning, and lubrication tasks
Ensure compliance with Air Force Technical Orders and procedures
Inspect completed work for quality and report corrosion findings
and discrepancies
Oversee AFTO 781 documentation, wash records, and QA checklists
Coordinate aircraft availability, schedules, and work status with USAF maintenance personnel
Train and mentor washers on equipment, PPE, TO compliance, and
safety requirements
Ensure environmental compliance for wastewater containment
and chemical handling
Enforce safety, PPE, fall protection, and FOO prevention standards
Submit daily logs, discrepancy reports, and required documentation
Qualifications:
2+ years aircraft wash or aviation maintenance experience
Experience leading or supervising small teams
Ability to read, interpret, and apply USAF Technical Orders
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on stands/ladders
Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain base access
Must pass background check for Homestead ARB
Must be able to read and follow USAF Technical Orders
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Prior USAF or DoD aviation maintenance experience
F-16 aircraft experience preferred
Experience with F-15, F/A-18, or other fighter aircraft
Familiarity with IMDS or G081 maintenance systems
AFTO 781-series documentation experience
OSHA 30 or equivalent supervisory safety training
Corrosion prevention and control experience
